Online Teaching Certification Course
(Sessions offered in Blackboard and Moodle)
October 6 - November 14, 2008

This six week online course is designed to provide participants with the experience of being an online student while introducing them to the pedagogical and technical issues of online teaching. Successful participants will be able to set up the design for a general course framework, including an organizational scheme (using BlackBoard or Moodle CMS) and course management policies.

Past students have found this course to be very beneficial:

"I definitely feel better prepared to teaching online, and for developing my online course. I had almost zero confidence when I started this course. Specifically, I am thrilled to already have the basic design for my course developed, with a clear idea on how to proceed in creating my remaining modules."

"This course quickly identifies the differences between teaching online vs. teaching on campus (face to face), how confusing online integration can become if pursued without
preparation, and how positive online activities should dramatically increase student learning."

Registration begins August 11, 2008
