The Educational Technology Organization of Michigan is a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of instructional telecommunications in higher education with an emphasis on distance learning. Established in December of 1980, ETOM has, and continues to be, a valuable resource for Michigan colleges and universities, related businesses, other educational organizations, and other interested individuals.
Fall Conference 2010

Proposals for presentations are now being accepted for the 2010 Fall Conference. The ETOM 2010 Fall Conference welcomes faculty, staff and administrators to join colleagues across the state for a wonderful opportunity to learn, network and share. The conference includes sessions on innovative practices in education technology, distance education, classroom technoogy and information technology. Everything is dynamic in the world of distance education and instructional technology. This year's conference will highlight some of the exciting teaching and learning experiences achieved by Michigan faculty and staff. There will be ample opportunity to network and share with others. Make the most of your professional development and travel dollars - attend the ETOM 2010 Fall Conference! The ETOM Board encourages proposals that will showcase best practices in the field of educational technology, distance learning, classroom techology, and information resources and technology.

Online Teacher Certification Courses
The six week online course is designed to provide participants with the experience of being an online student while introducing them to the pedagogical and technical issues of online teaching. Successful participants will be able to set up the design for a general course framework, including an organizational scheme (using BlackBoard, Angel or Moodle CMS) and course management policies.
